DIN914 Hexagon Socket Set Screws With Cone Point

Short Description:

A hollow set (socket set screw) that has a sharp screw tip. Used when carrying out permanent fixation, in contrast to a flat tip.

Product Detail

Advantage

Cone point set screws have a sharp, cone-shaped point that wedges into the contact material thus delivering the strongest torsional and axial holding power of all the set screw styles.  The cone-shaped point of these components also allows them to centralise themselves in pre-drilled holes, which can increase efficiency on automated assembly lines.

For applications where an angular point is not required, a Cup Point Set Screw or alternatively a Flat Point Set Screw may be preferable. The hexagon socket drive of these components is ideal for use with one of Accu’s Hexagon Socket Drive Bits.

matters needing attention

1.Unsuitable for locations where the screw set will be used repeatedly.
2.These set screws are designed for pressure loads and are not suitable for tensile- or shear loads.

Torsional Shear Type Bolts

The torsional shear type high-strength bolt is composed of a bolt, a nut and a washer, which is an improved type of the large hexagonal high-strength bolt, in order to facilitate the construction design.

Advantage

The advantage of twist-shear high-strength bolts is that the large structure of large hexagonal bolts is simple, the required construction space is small in size, and the use of electric wrenches directly to unscrew the plum blossom head, safe, simple, fast, check the construction quality is very convenient, no need for professionals or equipment, only general visual inspection can confirm that the plum blossom head has been unscrewed to ensure the construction quality of torsional shear high-strength bolts.

Application

Torsion-shear high-strength bolts are mainly used in industrial and civil buildings, railway bridges, highway bridges, pipeline bridges, tower mast structures, boiler frames, boiler steel structures, large-span industrial plants, high-rise civil buildings, various towers, light steel structures, lifting machinery and other buildings connected with steel structures.
